Community Contributions

Louisiana Association of Substance Abuse Counselors and Trainers; Annual Conference Mandala Experiential Exercise, Alexandra, Louisiana; 2013; Different members of the conference took turns using colored sand to express their love of the arts. It was an interesting way to spend time between lectures and meetings. 

Community Art Collage for Tau Center Twentieth Year Anniversary, 2003, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center; Baton Rouge, LA. Invited to work up a celebratory image for recovery in the community; this was a collaborative effort. 

Celebrate Life, Community Art Project, honoring cancer survivors and their family members, 2003 Woman’s Hospital, Baton Rouge, LA; Offered to a group of women who are working through various stages of cancer recovery. This was a joyous outreach and brought successful outcomes. 

Children’s Miracle Network Art Mural 2000, Tau Center, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center; Baton Rouge, LA. Honoring the Children's Miracle Network and their contributions towards the care of adolescents. 

“Healing Hands” Oncology Staff Retreat Art Project, 1999; Cancer Center, Baton Rouge, LA. Hands on for staff and friends to express a range of feelings and emotions connected with caring for others who are suffering and in pain. Making new connections for staff while offering support and affirmations. 

Womonwrites Art Collection; Significant contributions to the art collections and art exhibit, 1998, Indian Springs, GA. Art created especially to honor, support and empower a diverse set of women. Each piece was dedicated to different community supporters for women.
