Animals

Animals are our earthly companions. They fly. They jump. They crawl. Their spirits inch their way into our hearts. In folklore animals speak and communicate mysteriously to humans, often offering lessons that guide humans on how to live. In Toler’s renditions of animals, they are posed as simple earthly beings with spiritual overtones. She relates these animals to interpretations in fairy tales and folk stories.
